Description

With plants, <dominance> indicates the degree of covering (dominance) of the ground with this plant. Allowed character values are: 0 — not determined, 1 — less than 1/20, 2 — 1/20 up to 1/4, 3 — 1/4 up to 1/2, 4 — 1/2 up to 3/4, 5 — greater than 3/4, and "+" in case of single individuals (division according to Emschermann, P., Hoffrichter, O., Körner, H., Zissler, D. (Ed.), Meeresbiologische Exkursion, Gustav Fischer Verlag, Stuttgart, Jena, 1992, ISBN 3-437-20414-9, page 46).

If the degree of covering cannot be determined, <dominance> can be omitted, or <dominance>0</dominance> is given.
